This is a new upscale fast food restaurant chain that has come to the Raleigh Durham area this summer.  This location is in Cary off North Harrison Avenue. There is another location that will be opening soon off Wake Forest Road in Raleigh near the Trader Joes and Melting Pot.

They serve grass-fed beef, beer and wine, Kobe beef hot dogs, gourmet toppings, and desserts. The menu is expensive. The prices and portion sizes were the most disappointing part of our visit.  Hubby's specialty burger was almost $10!  It's called "Ultimate Cheeseburger" and features double natural prime brisket burger, swiss cheese & blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and secret sauce.  I ordered the single burger and large fries and we both purchased a soft drink.  The total was over $22!  Wow, that's a pricey fast food meal for two drinks, two burgers and 1 large fries.  I really like the idea of getting grass-fed beef at a fast food restaurant and expect the price to be higher for quality beef, but not that much higher.  My burger was really small and hubby's was average.  They tasted good, but I felt they needed some spices. When we make grass-fed burgers at home we add some Emeril original spice. You order your food at the counter and they give you a beeper to inform you when your food is ready which you return to the counter to pick up.  While you are waiting you self serve your drinks.  The modern  cola machine is really nice and has tons of flavors.  This was my favorite part of our visit. The diet coke flavors to chose from are:  original, cherry, orange, vanilla, raspberry, lime, and cherry vanilla. Refills are free, but the cups are small.  The order took longer than expected to be cooked.  If I was on break from work for lunch, my concern would be the wait time. There aren't a lot of tables either which would be a concern during busy lunch hours.  The BurgerFi locations are far from us, portions are small and the prices are high, so we will probably only visit a couple times a year. If you don't mind the high prices, small portions and want a healthier burger, then you will enjoy this new RDU fast food restaurant. So there you have it, my review of BurgerFi. Thanks for reading, feel free to leave a comment below.
