This is a review of the seventh recipe and first dessert we have tried from a subscription box called Plated. We are really enjoying this subscription so very much and I can't recommend it enough to you. Be sure to click on the ingredients photos above to enlarge them so that you can view the ingredients better. Hubby cooks lamb often since we were both raised on it and love the flavor, so we were really excited to give this recipe a try. I hope they have more lamb choices in the future. Each week seafood, beef and chicken are a staple with an occasional quail, lamb and pork dish.  Oh my gosh, the Lamb Kofta with Pistachios and Herb Salad dish was so incredibly flavorful! We have to make this again as soon as possible. I've made tzatziki sauce from scratch before and love the flavor, so I was a bit skeptical that I would like a version of that sauce without garlic and cucumber. The spices they gave us for this sauce totally made up for it and transported me immediately to my favorite Turkish restaurant, Bosphorus. The flavor is heavenly! Having fresh mint rather than dried made all the difference. The naans are a nice alternative to pita bread. I couldn't really tell there were any pistachios in it by tasting it. Next time we will use a little more lamb so that it completely covers the naan from end to end. I wouldn't change anything else in this recipe, the flavor was perfection. Oh how I want to eat this again soon! This is a dish I'm going to crave! If you love Turkish, Greek or Indian food or love lamb, you must try this recipe!

The Chocolate Chip & Ricotta Cannolis were a fail, they tasted yucky. I let the filling sit over night in the fridge, but it was still runny. I bought them for Hubby since he likes cannoli. He said they were awful and only took a couple bites. I gave them a try and didn't care for them either, but that was no surprise since I don't fancy cannolis normally. Though I did try one recently from the Dewey's Bakery in Winston Salem and it was delicious. I was able to get the cannoli for free since Plated emailed me a coupon code for them. I didn't even know they had desserts until I had read another blog review that spoke of them being available. That's my only complaint about their website, the desserts only show up when you are checking out.
