This is a review of the seventh box we received from a subscription box called Blue Apron. Our favorite dish this week was the Shrimp & Linguine followed by the Steak dish and lastly the Turkey Pitas.

Lemon & Black Pepper Shrimp with Fresh Linguine di Cavolo & Fava Leaves

Wow was this dish delicious, what a perfect creation! I love it when they send fresh pasta instead of dry and it was made with kale no less! I hope they come up with more pasta dishes and send more fresh pasta! I had to make the crispy garlic twice. It goes from brown to burnt very quickly so you have to keep an eye on it and as soon as it's brown take it off the heat. Hubby didn't care for it, but I thought it was a nice touch. It loses a lot of it's flavor being fried to a crisp though.

Pan Seared Steaks with Green Peppercorn Sauce & Roasted Fingerling Potatoes

This dish was tasty and the sauce was something we never had before that we really enjoyed. I'm a bit tired of potatoes and spinach as sides though and the steak was tough.

Spiced Turkey Meatball Pitas with Sugar Snap Pea & Bibb Lettuce Salad

I was really looking forward to this dish but it landed up being nothing but a disappointment. First, there wasn't enough turkey! They only gave us eight ounces and we need at least ten to feel full. Second, the spices seemed like they would go better with red meat rather than poultry. Third, the lettuce was really dirty so we had to throw out the outer layers and it really made me lose my appetite. Forth, the salad was extremely boring with only lettuce and snap peas.  Fifth, the tzatziki sauce should have had garlic in it. Sixth, the pita should have had tomatoes and red onion added to them. Seventh, the pitas were of very low quality. They had very little puffiness to them and were so very thin and crumbly. So this dish was a miss.
