After several trips to several hardware stores for air filters and coming out empty handed, I was on the search for mail order instead! Seriously, buying filters for your A/C unit isn't something that is fun to shop for and then on top of that having to go to more than one store just makes it's so frustrating, aggravating and such a waste of time. This past weekend, I came across this company called Filter Easy advertising on Facebook and since they were giving me the first two for free & free shipping which is a $25.56 retail value, it was worth a try. They arrived in only three business days! I was super happy about that since we were overdue to change our filters after searching stores over a couple weekends and finding none. Hubby installed them tonight and they fit perfectly. I recommend their cheapest ones, which are MERV 8, since anything higher would damage your A/C unit since it makes it work harder to get the air through the filter. We use to buy the most expensive and highest rated air filter only to find out from the A/C guy that will cause your system to not last as long. If you can afford it, I recommend buying an electrostatic filter for your system which you wash instead of throwing out and it really helps reduce dust and yet doesn't make your system work harder. But since moving to a different house we haven't had the chance to purchase one for our new house yet.
