This is a review of a subscription box called Home Chef that sends out recipes and all the ingredients needed weekly. This is our 34th delivery and our 140-143rd recipes we had made so far. Check them all out on my Pinterest Home Chef Board. Click on the photos to read the reviews. Needless to say we are addicted to Home Chef! We are having a fabulous time with all their recipes and the delicious meals. This week we gave three recipes five out of five stars and one four out of five stars. It was a delightful week and one of the recipes was a repeat that we first tried back in October.

Umami Burger with Miso Marinated Beef with Mushrooms, White Cheddar & Parmesan Sweet Potato Fries

Wow, was this a superb burger! Just a bit of miso and parmesan make this a unique burger with incredible flavor. No need for mayo or ketchup on this one. It's perfection! So far all the recipes we have tried that include miso have been incredible. Chef Jimmy Madla is really creative with the Asian dishes and we've been quite impressed. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms on my burger, but I loved them on this one. Who knew parmesan would be yummy on sweet potato fries! Wow, if they offer this recipe again, I will buy it on the spot. This recipe took about forty minutes to prepare and it had 786 calories. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Yum, yum and five out of five stars it receives from both of us!

Chicken with Tiger Sauce with Sugar Snap Peas & Rice

Yet another fabulous creation by Chef Jimmy Madla! Unbelievably delicious and low in calories too! The tiger sauce which has seven ingredients is so scrumptious that we must make this again as soon as possible! That's one reason I love Home Chef, they include so many ingredients, so it's unlike anything you've had before yet easy to make. Just thinking about this dish is making me hungry. I was so sad when I ate the last bite. Hoping they repeat this dish really soon. Hubby & I both gave it five out of five stars. It was licking the plate good! It's a low calorie recipe with only 615 calories and it took about thirty minutes to prepare.

Pork Chop & Cranberry Mustard with Roasted Sweet Potatoes & Brussels Sprouts

This is a repeat recipe that we tried back in October. You can see our previous results and review by clicking here. Since we gave it five out five stars last time, we were anxious to order it again. It tastes like a Thanksgiving dinner, yet it's low in calories! The butter, cranberry, onions, mustard and brown sugar on top of the pork chop is so delicious! Pork chops can be so boring and this is the perfect topping! There is enough topping for every bite of pork. This recipe took about thirty-five minutes to prepare and it had only 623 calories. It's also low carb, gluten free, nut free and soy free.

Turkey Tetrazzini with Squash Fideos with Crispy Shallot Topping

Hubby's not a big fan of turkey, but I have to squeeze in a recipe here and there since I love it. Now isn't it funny that Hubby gave this four out of five stars and I, the turkey lover, gave it only three stars. I can get him to love turkey after all! He really loved the sauce, while I felt it needed something extra but I'm not sure what. We added some Emeril Turkey Spice to the turkey since one of the other customers said it tasted it bit bland. While I enjoyed it, I'm just not anxious to repeat it. There were enough leftovers for one lunch. We both enjoy the pasta substitute of zucchini and squash peeled into flat ribbons. It has the same texture as pasta, but lower in calories and carbs. This recipe is a low calorie recipe with only 620 calories, but actually lower than that since we had leftovers. It's also low carb, gluten free, nut free and soy free. It took about forty minutes to prepare. Home Chef always has satisfying portions and often leftovers.

Well that was a wonderful week of recipes that we both enjoyed. Yesterday we received the following recipes to enjoy:
  1. Mardi Gras Shrimp Po' Boy
  2. Chinese New Year Dim Sum Pork Dumplings
  3. Chicken au Fromage
  4. Bone in Pork Chop with Smoky Maple Butter
  5. Seasonal Winter Fruit Basket
