This is a review of the 5th delivery I have received from Green Blender. Read more about this service in my previous review in which I explain their pricing, shipping, drinking straws and recipe cards. Also, check out my Green Blender Pinterest Board to see recipe cards, ingredients sent and my recipe results. This week I gave one smoothie five out of five stars and four recipes four out of five stars. It was one of the tastiest weeks of smoothies so far!

Creamy Blueberry

I gave this recipe four out of five stars. The strongest flavor was the banana, followed by the blueberries and then the pear. It also had acai berry powder, cashews, water and ice. It was very tasty! The banana was too ripe by the time I used it and it received a bit of damaged during shipping, so I used one I had on hand instead. The blueberries were a bit iffy, so I used some Hubby bought at Costco. This was the first box I have received that had quality issues due to the heat during shipping. This one had 183 calories and it offers beauty, immune boosting and calming benefits.

Ginger Rhubarb Cider

I gave this one five out of five stars and Hubby gave it four. It tasted like a sour apple jelly bean, it was scrumptious! The apple, lemon and ginger had the strongest flavor in this one. It also had green chard, rhubarb, apple cider vinegar, walnuts, water and ice. This one offers beauty, immune boosting and anti-inflammatory properties. It's a low calorie recipe that only had 139 calories! What a wonderful low calorie dessert!

Mini Pepper Popper

I gave this one four out of five stars. The strongest flavor was the mini peppers, blood orange and the lemon. The funny thing is that I just bought some mini peppers at Costco to try them for the first time and then this smoothie arrives! It also had pineapple, rose hips, almonds, water and ice. I knew I was going to enjoy this one since I absolutely love blood oranges! The mini peppers were surprisingly tasty. It had 152 calories and it provides energy, beauty and immune boosting benefits.

Green Apple Spice Protein

I gave this one four out of five stars. The strongest flavor was the cinnamon applesauce and the grapes. It also included lacinato kale, zucchini, yacon root powder, hemp protein powder, almond milk and ice. It was delicious and unlike any smoothie I've made before. The lacinato kale arrived in a very stinky condition, so it had to be thrown out right away. I purchased some regular kale to replace it since it was less expensive than the lacinato kale. It didn't affect the flavor since the greens in smoothies aren't tasted. This one had 197 calories and it provides energy, high protein and beauty benefits.

Mangosteen Morning

I gave this one four out of five stars. The strongest flavor was that of the cantaloupe and kiwis. It also had baby spinach, mangosteen powder, coconut flakes, water and ice. This low calorie recipe had only 90 calories and it provides beauty, immune boosting benefits. It's especially tasty considering how low it is in calories!

I received my 7th box from Green Blender yesterday, so I'm still a bit behind on my reviews. I have really been enjoying each box and I can't believe how quickly the weeks have been going by. When the box arrives I love opening the little paper bag filled with superfoods and seeing which goodies were sent each week. This week the superfoods were: coconut flakes, mangosteen powder, rose hips, almonds, walnuts, cashews, acai berry powder, hemp protein powder and yacon root powder. Prior to this service I had never made smoothies with these ingredients, so I'm learning a lot about them from their recipe cards. They are currently running a promotion for 30% off your first box. This is the highest discount I have been able to find for you, so be sure to use coupon code "SALTED".
