This is a review of our 42nd delivery from a food subscription box called Home Chef. This box costs only $59.70 for six servings and that including shipping and handling. Hubby & I gave two recipes four out of five stars and one recipe three stars. Preparation time ranged from thirty-five to fifty minutes and calories ranged from 479 to 949. Mushroom & Swiss Beef Burger with Truffle Mayo & Steak Fries

We made this recipe twice previously from our 16th box and our 6th box. Previously we gave it five out of five stars, but this time we gave it four out of five stars since the burgers were smaller than the bun. This year the portions of the meat have been smaller. If you look at all three ingredients photos and compare them, you'll easily notice that this shipment of meat is less than the other two sent last year. Also, this time we didn't have enough truffle mayo dip for the french fries. The truffle mayo is so scrumptious, just the thought of it is making me crave it. These burgers are so delicious, you won't miss the ketchup at all! If you haven't tried anything with truffle oil before, you must give it a try soon. It's a bit earthy in flavor, but so tasty. Hubby didn't originally like it, but he has grown to love it. Everything arrived in good condition except the tomato which was a bit squashed. This recipe had 949 calories and it took about thirty-five minutes to prepare. It was a filling portion of food with no leftovers.

We gave this recipe three out of five stars. We absolutely loved the loaded potato wedges, but the low fat steak was dry and in desperate need of a sauce of some kind. We thought the tomatoes and mushrooms would have tasted better if they had been cooked in the skillet rather than baking them. Not to mention, no one enjoys baking in the summer due to the heat it creates. This one had 774 calories and it took around fifty minutes to prepare. This was a filling portion with no leftovers, but I was craving those potato wedges soon after. They were so yummy!

Pork Chop Santorini with Sweety Drop Kalamata Butter & Cucumber Salad

We gave this recipe four out of five stars, we deducted a star since the portion of pork was smaller than they normally send. The kalamata butter was awesome and the cucumber salad was so tasty. The salad was made lemon juice, honey, olive oil, olives, cucumber, shallot, tomatoes, salt and pepper. This recipe had only 479 calories yet it didn't taste like it was a low calorie meal. It said it would take forty minutes, but it took longer. It was a good sized portion with no leftovers.

While the bottom of the box arrived a bit wet from perspiration of the ingredients, I'm happy to report everything arrived in good shape except the tomato. They have been having issues lately with their new packing materials  and now they have switched back to their old packing materials which work much better especially in the summer months.
