This is a review of room service provided by the Ritz-Carlton located in Cancún, Mexico. This was our second room service breakfast that we ordered. It arrived at 10:30 am on a Saturday last August. Since our first experience was so wonderful we were anxious to relive the experience. The wait time for our order to arrive was twenty-five minutes just as they had indicated.
This time we ordered two different entrees and we reordered the fabulous Fruit Plate, the super tasty, crisp bacon, delicious orange juice and a pot of coffee. This time Hubby ordered the Omelet with bell peppers, tomato, mushrooms, onion, ham, bacon, spinach and cheese. It also came with asparagus, half a tomato with herbs and potato gratin. He absolutely loved it. I ordered the French Toast and it came with maple syrup, cream and strawberry compote. I'm always nervous ordering French Toast because sometimes they use very low quality white bread. This appeared to be a high quality wheat bread that had raisins in it. I never had French Toast with raisins before and it was scrumptious! We shared the Fruit Plate and the bacon. To check out a close up view of the Fruit Plate, click here. We had the same waiter as last time and he told my husband he had good news for him that he brought him extra bacon this time. He knew the way to my husband's heart and received an extra tip as a result! They automatically add a 15% tip to your order. He was extremely friendly and he did an awesome job with the presentation. The hot food arrived at a nice warm temperature which is another thing I get nervous about when ordering expensive room service. Each time it arrived at the perfect temperature. It was another wonderful experience and look at the view from the table in the photo above! Who doesn't want to eat breakfast with a view like that, priceless! Sometimes you just need to treat yourself and we hadn't been on a vacation in a long time so we lived it up!
