This is a review of a Mexican restaurant located in Lillington, North Carolina called Mi Casita. They have many locations in the Triangle. Their sanitation score is currently 94.5 which is very good. We have been to this restaurant many times over the years and it's consistently tasty and enjoyable.  They are open from daily from 11 am until 10 pm except on Saturday and Sunday. They open half an hour later on weekends and stay open half an hour later on Saturday and close half an hour early on Sundays. We arrived on a Thursday around 5:30 pm for dinner. It's very popular so most of the time it is busy. When we arrived it was no exception.

One of my favorite things on their menu is the Juan's Layered Dip. I order it without the beef. It has beans, cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo. I wish they were more generous with the guacamole and pico, but it's tasty. It keeps you from being hungry while you wait for your entree to be cooked. Their chips are nice and crisp without greasiness. Their salsa is just ok, another reason I order Juan's Dip or the cheese dip. I was in the mood for a Margarita, so I ordered their frozen Margarita and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet which I really appreciate. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad as I have many times prior. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The lettuce, green peppers, cheese and onions are the perfect compliment to the marinated chicken. They offer salad dressing, but it's optional. You may find you like it without the dressing. The crispy tortillas strips are also a wonderful addition to the salad taking it from ordinary to extraordinary. It is filling, so you don't need to order an appetizer. I have also ordered this one for carryout, just make sure they don't forget to include your dressing. Hubby ordered the Fajitas de Camarones. He's ordered it many times over the years. This time the shrimp was perfectly cooked. I had a couple samples and it was so yummy! It arrives sizzling and it comes with a side of flour tortillas, beans with cheese, rice, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. It was scrumptious and very filling. The waiter was extremely attentive and very friendly. Our dinner total was $40.66 before tip, which is pretty good for two margaritas, one appetizer and two large dinners. It was yet another enjoyable experience and we shall return again very soon. What's your favorite Mexican restaurant in the Triangle?
